Thursday, October 29, 2015

The leaves where you are might be already on the ground or still green, but you can still enjoy some fall colour. Check out my newest craft tutorial - sun catchers in the form of autumn leaves. You can watch it here.

The Best Yarns of Autumn

Wednesday, October 07, 2015
Although I have boxes upon boxes of yarn in the basement, I'm always on the lookout for new colourways and brands. With the last few days turning chilly enough to need a jacket, I've been searching for some cozy yarns. Apple Picking in Autumnal Ontario

Sunday, October 04, 2015

Yesterday, I gathered my sister MC and our dad and we went apple picking. It was a grey day on Saturday but the alternative was today, which calls for rain, so we bundled up against the wind and got on with it. After all, apple picking is just one of those things that you have to do in fall or the season is not complete.

Our destination was a pick-your-own farm called Gallacher's Orchard, located in Nottawa, Ontario. They offer apple picking, as well as pears and plums. Their prices are good, the apples and plentiful, and the staff are friendly.

End of September Garden

Monday, September 28, 2015

At the Farmstand

Saturday, September 26, 2015

Last weekend, I went with my sister, SJ, and my dad to a local farmstand that was full of autumn produce. My mom and SJ make the absolute best homemade butternut squash soup and so we were on the lookout for some fresh local butternut squash.
